I Was A Teenage Hand Model // Queens Of The Stone Age

   tfs

Elsa Sylvan is another one of those awe-inspiring things that has come out of the wonderful world of Sweden. This unique beauty has become quite the hit throughout the fashion industry, being prominently well known by most for her distinguishing eyebrows and her hair. Overall she has such a great natural look and an amazing facial structure. Elsa also has quite an interesting off duty style too, i've noticed in some of her other candid style photographs she is definitely not afraid of layering and creating shapes.
Miss Sylvan is just another thing to add to the list of cool things Sweden produces, reassuring us all just why we wish we could move to Stockholm, live in a trendy loft and people watch all the well dressed Swedish natives that lurk their intriguing streets.

Pumpkin Soup // Kate Nash

via elle

In the spirit of the ever so near arrival of Halloween, I bring you a post dedicated to orange hair since evidentially pumpkins are orange.. and well I seem to be going through an orange hair liking phase, okay? This vibrant hue is a bold statement, though when done correctly can look pretty freaking cool. If you're not 100% sure on making the full commitement to this hair trend you can cheat and opt for a temporary spray or 'hair makeup' which appears to have been used in the first photograph, giving you the look with a simple yet effective process that isn't permanent. I'm yet to try but I have heard good things about the Kevin Murphy colour bugs. These colour gems come in pink, purple and orange and are ever so simple to use, wipe on then wipe off to remove. I will be stalking down my nearest stockist to find me some colour bugs so I can finally do something fun on my hair with colour for a change!

Below is a little video of Kevin working his magic with the colour bug on a variety of different hair tones and also a little compilation of some orange wear for the orange hair.

P.s what are you all dressing up as for Halloween?

I Cut Like A Buffalo // The Dead Weather

Laser cutting is not only on trend within the art world but is also lurking around the fashion world making its mark. Pictured above is an incredible laser cut money art piece courtesy of Scott Campbell. His amazing collection of artworks are made up of large quantities of one dollar american bills that have been laser cut to represent certain images or objects. Seeing the pieces by Scott have increased by desire to include some laser cut apparel into my wardrobe and has definitely upped my curiosity towards it. This intricate detailing is a great addition to the aesthetic of any piece of clothing and instantly adds a statement. Here are a few perfect examples regarding this little trend, showing the different ways you can incorporate it into your outfit.

Below are some of my favourite dream laser cut pieces in clothing, accessories and footwear form. Though for a more budget friendly approach check out the ASOS leather lilac laser cut shorts that are currently on sale for $32.88 here
Vanessa Bruno Athé black leather skirt, Valentino patent leather handbag, Proenza Schouler lace up high heels, Christopher Kane floral clutch, Azzedine Alaia zipper dress.

Stay tuned for a follow up post featuring some more of the laser cut artworks from the unbelievably talented Scott Campbell.

Beaches // Bridezilla

Picked up this lovely little sheer chiffon tail hem blouse from Sportsgirl in Albury during a quick shopping stop over on the way to Beechworth a few weeks ago. I'm so glad I found it as I went to purchase it online but it was sold out and was unavailable at my local store. It is the perfect layering piece and takes the 'mullet' trend to a whole new level.. it's an extreme mullet top. The necklace above is one of my favourite pieces that I have come across while thrift shopping. I love the whole tribal and boho aesthetic and how it has this Kirrily Johnston and Sass and Bide vibe about it. I also just found out that a store in my town stocks The Palm Beach candles and diffusers so I was a wee bit excited about that! I first saw this collection when I spent last Christmas up in Palm Beach and fell in love with their scents instantly. There were too many incredible fragrances to choose from but I opted for the White Pepper and Ginger candle and the Coconut and Lime diffuser.

Take a peak at The Palm Beach Collection here

Outfit// Vintage floral maxi dress, Sportsgirl flats, Thrifted bag and necklace, Sportsgirl black sheer chiffon tail hem blouse, diva feather ring.

A little post featuring some photographs My Sister Krystle and I took at a little brunch date with the family at my Sister Katrina's home from the beginning of the month. Just stumbled upon these photographs tonight after finally establishing the whereabouts of my damn memory card.  I know I am constantly raving on about her vegetable, fruit and herb garden but it seriously is beyond amazing, these photographs definitely do not do it justice. I am also in dire need of some fun outfit posts but unfortunately  my camera has been sent away for a repair for a crazy amount of time. I promise as soon as the lovely little thing is back in my hands i'll most certainly be getting snap happy.

Some favourite images of model, Karmen Pedaru. This natural beauty is an Estonian model who now resides in New York. She is one of my favourite models thanks to her piercing eyes and effortlessly cool and chic off duty style. I love how these six images reveal a more candid and raw side to Karmen, it's nice to know these models are actually quite normal and down to earth, apart from just being mega babes. A post on her amazing streetstyle/off duty outfits is a definite must so stayed tuned for its arrival.

In the mean time check out the 'fuckyeahkarmenpedaru' tumblr page dedicated to this little lady here.

Here are the rest of the photographs I took from the lovely Mad Love A/W '12 Lookbook Shoot that I was invited to take some behind the scenes snaps at over at The Wonderland PR.  I love the whole mexicana vibe the label has with the collection featuring pops of colour, eccentric aztec and animal prints and patterns, some incredible oversized knits, statement tees and many more other little lovelys. The amazing Merille Raagas was the model for the shoot and boy did she do a great job! Is it just me or does she have an uncanny resemblance to Pocahontas? It was so great seeing the collection, meeting the team at The Wonderland PR and the other fellow bloggers. I for one am quite excited for the arrival of this collection, which shall be hitting stores early next year.

Keep up to date with the quirky Mad Love via their facebook page here.

Henry Lee // Nick Cave & P.J Harvey

Henry Holland x Le Specs.
After scrolling through these images from the quirky Henry Holland x Le Specs line, i've come the conclusion that I do indeed need every single pair of these sunglasses. I love everything about this collaboration, Henry Holland, the Le Specs brand, the chosen models, the creative concept for the photo shoot and most definitely the eyewear. How cool are the little shades or as they're called 'hoodies' over the top of the very last sunglasses, litte mini visors for your eyewear? Genius. My two ultimate favourite things about the pieces from this collaboration is the fact that they won't break the bank and also the names of each of the designs like Circle The Mesh, Monobrow, 80-20, Hoodies and Blinders. I definitely need to get my hands on a pair of the Monobrows.

You can shop the range for just 90 smackaraoo's a pop over at My Catwalk here.
