Islands On The Coast // Band Of Horses

all photos via zimbio

As it tis the season for travelling, holidays and adventures i've headed to the Central Coast for few days for a little post Christmas/pre move to Sydney road trip. This is my first time venturing to the Central Coast so if anyone has any recommendations of places to eat/drink at, go out, shop or be general tourists at Avoca Beach, Forresters Beach, Gosford, Terrigal etc I would definitely appreciate it! The weather is certainly being very unpredictable though none the less it's such a beautiful place to be. One person who manages to constantly travel in style rain, hail or shine is Kate Bosworth. Every outfit she wears is impeccably styled, unique and looks so damn comfortable.

Here is a compilation of some pieces that I feel are a few of Kate's staple items. Definite necessities for any travel bag and essential for unpredictable weather. A knit, ankle boots, a printed shift dress, a satchel bag, a pair of brogues, a floral skirt and a pair of sunglasses that go with everything.

Wishery (Disney Remix) // Pogo

Apologies for being M.I.A as of late, I was in hospital and ill recently due to a bit of an unexpected health scare and am only now finally catching up with all the copious amounts of emails I have returned to, outfit posts and blog posts. Am I right when I say scheduled posts are the greatest thing invented? Definitely helped keep the blog posts rolling while I was away from my beloved Macbook. Anyway! I'm back, healthy again and recovering well from Surgery so I will be blogging away and internet addicted again in no time. Perfect timing for Christmas wishlist making and lurking the internet for pretty things for Santa to bring me. Right now I most certainly am having a field day on the Molten Store site - that store is filled with some seriously cool stuff. Not only do they stock some amazing jewellery lines and other bits and pieces but they now have their very own line called Molten Relic that is exclusive to their online store. An array of some amazing bohemian jewellery, clutches, totes and accessories that have been inspired by sun, sand and surf. I can confidentially say i'm 100% obsessed with the 'Clever Bones' clutch. Here is a small (or not so small) compilation of my favourite pieces that i'd like to find wrapped up in pretty packaging under my Christmas tree come the 25th of December.

Because who doesn't love smelling like marshmallows, accessorising with shells, wearing wonderful jewels courtesy of Nicole Ritchie and Erin Wasson and carrying all these beauties in a lovely fieldguided tote with your MMMG notebook in the other hand.

What is your favourite Molten Relic piece?

Shelter // Birdy

Byrdie Bell's fashion versatility and effortless poise in everything she wears never ceases to amaze me. How amazing does she look in those champagne coloured bell bottom Ellery pants? though really, how could you go wrong with a name like Byrdie. Miss Bell's day job consists of being an actress, model and quite the fashion chameleon - most certainly not one to be afraid of textures or maxi lengths. Whether it's embellishment, denim jackets, floral maxi dresses, textured floral mullet dress, sequin mini dresses, little floral summer dresses, leopard, pink on pink, a sheer camisole with a garter or the beloved Ellery bell bottom pants, she's got it covered. Do you have a favourite outfit of Byrdies?

She also has a tumblr page which you can visit here.

I Gotta Move // Ben Kweller

An outfit I wore to work a few days ago, which would explain why 99% of everything I am wearing is Cotton On/Rubi. These mahogany wedges have definitely got to be one of the comfiest pair of heels I own and are also a favourite colour. So happy to be bringing back some colour into my collection of footwear as the domination of the colour black throughout was starting to get a little gloomy. This week has been quite the excellent one as I have finally decide to commit to making the move to Sydney at the beginning of January. Watch this space for many more big, new and exciting adventures!!

Outfit // Cotton On Self tie dyed mens singlet, Cotton On printed skirt, Rubi wedges, Vintage handbag, Sportsgirl necklace, Collette ring, Vintage sunglasses.

Knock Three Times // Tony Orlando

A selection of some favourite images that have been floating around our visual inspiration page/sister site, VivienByron. The first image is a still from a beloved childhood movie called Now and Then which is still one of my all time favourite movies to this date. If you haven't already seen it or come across it, you need to get to a video store and sit yourself down with this film stat. Pair Now and Then with The Babysitters Club and you have yourself the perfect summer's night in. It's even full of visual inspiration and style muses like Christina Ricci and Thora Birch and will have you wanting to ride around your neighbourhood on a rad vintage bike belting out lyrics by Tony Orlando. The rest of the images are filled with flowers, feathers, lace, wood accessorising, Alexa Chung, Pamela Love's amazing array of body ink and jewels and the pretty colours of nature in vegetable and fruit form. How incredible is the black and white speckled feather necklace in the last photograph? A definite D.I.Y that needs to be completed asap.

May Day // Unkle ft Duke Spirit

High Summer 11 'Two Hearts' by May The Label.

I don't think I could ever get bored of viewing any form of behind the scenes footage and backstage photographs/films within the fashion, arts or music industry. There is always something so intriguing about an early sneak peak or a snippet of backstage footage, giving you the insight into the world of something amazing in the making. This video has also taught me a very valuable lesson i'll be taking into account this Summer.. sky blue hues compliment a sun kissed tan ever so well.

You can view the whole 'Two Hearts' collection here.
