These are some photographs I had taken during my last trip to Sydney at one of my favourite stores to visit in Sydney, Holy Kitsch! This store is without a doubt amazing. It is filled with pieces inspired by the Mexican Day of the Dead, Frida Kahlo, Sailor Jerry, Ephemera and many other things weird and wonderful. This store's inception was the result of a pair of ex art student pals with a love for handmade collectibles that support creative communities all over the globe. This store has a large collection of rare homeware items, with each item different to the next with its own story to tell. Another great aspect about this store is that all the items are ethically sourced and fair trade wherever possible. Holy Kitsch! stocks pieces from melting clocks, heart necklaces, candelabras, printed canvas bags with designs infusing star wars and day of the dead together, anchor shaped bottle openers, traditional mexican wares, framed prints and many more quirky things. The duo started out their days at inner city markets like The Glebe Markets, The Bondi Beach Markets and the Surry Hills Markets but have now set up camp with a new store at 321 Crown Street, Surry Hills. Once you step into this store you'll either won't want to leave or you will end up leaving with half of the store purchased.
