Magic // Ladyhawke

via tumblr

These images are from Rosanna Webster's 'Tribalism' and 'Shamanism' series where she drew inspiration from Therianthropy. They represent her interperation of the ability to morph between human and animal characteristics and the idea of an occurrence of spiritual transgression through animal costume and imitation. After coming across this collection of photographs as well as snooping around her website for further artworks and series i've definitely come to the conclusion that Rosanna Webster is one talented lady. I love the mysticism and the metaphysical vibe this series portray and the colour combinations the projected images create. There were many other images included in these two series but these were a few of my favourites. You can find the other images at Rosanna's website here as well as other artworks, photographs, drawings and videos etc.

I've really taken a liking to Zoë Kravitz's recent outfits and have grown to love her daytime and night time threads that little bit more, though not that I wasn't previously already a die hard Zoë enthusiast. Her individual style has always had a heavy grunge and 90s influence but I think it's recently become that little bit more feminine and grunge glam, which I do dig. Her recent red carpet gown choices have been perfect choices, with the pale peach strapless gown teamed with a large burgundy velvet bow being a definite highlight. I also do love how much she embraces maxi dresses and long lengths for somebody who is of a petite height as I can definitely relate to the burden of being short when it comes to maxi dresses and skirts! Until stumbling upon these images of Miss Kravitz I never realised how many tattoos she actually had, with the eye on her arm now becoming a favourite of mine. Zoë's wardrobe collection favours carefree floral spring dresses, a collection of round spectacles, soft boho long dresses and skirts that billow in the wind, tomboy boots and brogues and feminine fabrics. These images are the perfect inspiration for the upcoming Spring days, her little floral printed dresses scream sunshine and warm halcyon days.

Boyfriend // Best Coast

An outfit from last week with a new shirt i'm highly obsessed with, The 'Boyfriend' Shirt by Australian label Joveeba that I purchased from The Grand Social. A soft pastel ivory collared long sleeved blouse with a detailed opening on both elbows and is slightly longer at the back. the light sheer fabric makes this piece the perfect transeasonal item that can be dressed up or dressed down. Also in this post is this funny and quirky little canvas tourist-esque bag from Merimbula, detailed with a drawing on the front of Merimbula life in caricature form, down to the last smiley face on the sun. I think I need to stop taking a likeness to these touristy canvas bags as my collection seems to be growing at a rapid pace.

Outfit: Joveeba The 'Boyfriend' Shirt, Grey and white Cotton On Kids alpine patterned scarf, Sportsgirl brown leather skeletal strap style sandals, Merimbula tourist canvas tote.

What The Water Gave Me // Florence and The Machine

singular image via alixrose

Hat inspiration with the influence of Florence and The Machines new song 'What The Water Gave Me' and our love for Florence's beloved burgundy floppy hat she is wearing in the film clip. I'm sure we will be seeing a lot more of these bad hair day saviours soon enough when we hit Spring time and the sun makes it way out from under its rock. As much as I am a sucker for some street style inspiration I do adore these images of Bridgette Bardot, Cher, Edie Sedgwick and Faye Dunaway sporting this classic staple piece in past eras, showing just how everlasting this headwear is.  Find some lovely wide brim and floppy hats at Free People here or on ASOS here.

Faded Together // Franz Ferdinand

book 'Purple 3, Summer 1999' and Nastygal Sunglasses via lolajagger

Some shots of some items that'll be available for purchase within the next week at the Lola Jagger Facebook Page. This cosy little fuzzy jumper is definitely one of my finest finds, though I wish I had found it that little bit earlier in the season.  The perfect balance of a two tone gradual fade paired with the softest and fluffiest material, it's a pretty delicious mix. I'm also wearing some new shoes I recently purchased off ASOS, which i've finally worn in so they're no longer uncomfortable to wear.. Yipee! Also a recent book I bought called, Purple 3, Summer 1999. This book is filled with fashion, art and culture images as well as campaign shots and a few random interviews written in French, which is always fun. Both the jumper and the vintage handbag will be available for purchase, so stay tuned and 'like' zee Facebook Page to stay updated with the LJV newcomers.

E M I L Y W A K E  // A New fresh faced favourite model of mine is Emily Wake, whom is also actually a local Australian model and a native to the lovely land of Adelaide. A drinker of tea, fond of the simple beach life and a lover of wandering around and exploring markets are a few favourites of Ms Wake. After gazing upon this young girl, you probably wouldn't believe this baby-faced Priscilla's model is actually 22 years old. Blessed with alienesque facial features, big round blue eyes and an intriguing bone structure, you can understand why the best of the best modelling websites like model.com have her on their radar as a new and upcoming model that shall be taking the world by storm.

Wolf Pack // The Vaccines

cotton on coral batwing open cardigan, plain black tee, burgandy  skinny leg jeans, vintage brown lace up pixie boots,
sportsgirl rings, wolfsburg calico bag from germany via lolajagger

Yesterdays outfit, with minimal black which is always an exciting achievement. This bright coral batwing styled open cardigan is one of my newly found favourites in my wardrobe currently on high rotation. I've developed quite the obsession with calico bags recently too with this Wolfsburg bag from Germany being my current favourite, though these bags make it terribly hard to find things in.
