New York City is the home to many amazingly creative and influential people of the world consisting of designers, artists, musicians and many more.  It is the home of Jewelery designer Pamela Love,  Makeup Artist Kristin Gallegos, Stylist Marina Muñoz and these three fashion labels Katie Gallagher, Kimberly Ovitz & Cushnie Et Ochs below.

Eccentric and quirky Pennsylvanian native designer Katie Gallagher has always been one of my favourite NYC designers. She creates collection with a dark, polished and futuristic aesthetic and a hint of sci fi influence.  Katie is a graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design and was a favourite before her breakthrough as a designer began, having been featured in the magazine Interview alongside her fellow designer boyfriend (also a graduate of RISD), Nickolay Saveliev.

Los Angeles born Kimberly Ovitz's New York based label was established in 2009 after working her way up to the top within the fashion industry. Although her parents do not work within fashion, they still manage to play a part in her creative direction and influence her immensely during the designing process.  Her mother breeds horses which is why we can see a hint of equestrian influence in some of her designs.  In an interview with holtrenfrew Kimberly describes the overall look of the attire as timeless, minimal and chic with an edgy element.

Carly Cushnie and Michelle Ochs are the genius duo behind the New York City based label, Cushni Et Ochs. Their designs feature sleek, structured minimalistic silhouettes with a tailored appeal. This label is known for its moody colour palette and their exploration between raw materials and the juxtaposing of textures and materials which was inspired to them by sculptures, architecture and art.
