Although its only four days into winter, capes started making their mark long before the transition into the new season and have already started to become a necessity and staple in every females wardrobe for the cold and chilly months ahead.

The capes above are available within the ASOS website and have currently been marked down, making these babies all under $40. Another favourite of mine for this season is winter florals and I am especially in awe of the zimmermann floral blazer further up. The structure and the soft colour hues contrasted with the drops of deep black make this blazer the perfect statement piece. who said floral was just a spring thing?
My cape incorporated outfit if somebody was to spontaneously hand over a large sum of money to me. Pieces consist of Jeffrey Campbell boots, Proenza Schouler PS1 leather mint satchel, Alexander Mcqueen feather print silk cape, Moxsie ring, Imogen Belfield ring, Phillip Lim textured grey marle tee , gp lion head necklace and dkny jersey leggings.
