Here are a few photographs from the Stonefield gig I attended last Wednesday night where these ladies played at the Crow Bar at my local University. The band consists of Hannah, Amy, Sarah and Holly Findlay whom are all sisters. These girls are without a doubt beyond incredible live! They have so much energy and have that cool effortless vibe and rock attitude when they're performing and within their music. Their ages range from 13 to 22, with the youngest being the bassist and the eldest doubling up as both lead vocals and drummer. From day 1 these girls have done so well since winning Triple J unearthed high in '10, having even already played at the almighty UK music and arts festival, Glastonbury. At the gig I was able to hang out and have a little chat with these girls and they were so humble and friendly and very laid back. Please excuse the poor quality photos, I forgot to bring my camera with me so had to take these on the trusty 'ol iphone.
Here is a video of Stonefield performing 'Black Water Rising' live on Balcony TV, as well as a bonus little q & a.
**PS you all need to youtube Stonefield performing their live cover of 'Whole Lotta Love' at Glastonbury this year. Crazy good.
