Protect Ya Neck // Wu-Tang Clan

Went a bit crazy on the layering today with some sheer, stripes, sequins and natural bling. I found this giant agate slice at a little stall at Paddys Markets last year and it is definitely one of my best finds. Lucky for me at the top there was a small gap which made it oh so easy to slip through a chain and transform it into a necklace. It's quite a heavy piece and in the words of Ludacris.. feels like a midget is hanging from my necklace. *Cue Stand Up by Ludacris.

Tokito black tuxedo vest, Agate slice necklace, Rayban gold aviator sunglasses, Cassette Sociey Madly Wildly sequin jacket, American Apparel Hi Shine leggings, Cotton On burgundy long sheer shirt, Cotton On cut up stripey mens tee, Thrifted black lace up boots, Thrifted textured clutch, Lovisa bird skull ring.

Tropical Ice-Land // The Fiery Furnaces

via tumblr

After coming across Motel's Jordan jeans/trousers range on Market HQ, i've reacquainted myself with a fascination towards the printed pants trend, especially of the tropicana floral variety. I've also been pretty obsessed with sequins as of late so even a pair of embellished trousers would do the job excellently. I saw this 3.1 Phillip Lim sheer number on Polyvore and become obsessed pretty damn quickly. I'm not sure how I feel about leopard and floral together but it seems to surprisingly work here, even with the added splash of mint.

Month Of May // Arcade Fire

individual images via cirqlatepublicity

Zippora Seven for May The Label's latest Spring/Summer collection, Where The Light Is. A cluster of bold and vibrant colour hues combined with different elements of lace and floral, make for a perfect combination of modern and girly. The whole collection has that simple effortless feel about it, where you can throw on a few pieces and be out the door within moments. I think this is definitely one of May The Label's most colourful collections to date, though no complaints from me i'm a big fan of the pastel colour palette with the Lennox Collared Dress (second from the left, bottom row) a key favourite.

The collection will drop in store from July and will also be available online on May The Label's website here.

California Sunrise // Dirty Gold

I think we should all take a moment to bask in Erin Wasson's awesomeness and admire her ability to look so ridiculously cool 24/7 with such ease. She will forever be one of my all time favourite style influences and is definitely on a whole other level when it comes to fashion. She makes me want to get inked up, move to Santa Monica, skate all day everyday whilst designing incredible jewellery in-between. Her grungy surf-meets-street luxe edgy look is one to envy, wearing pieces only a handful of people can pull off. Below are a few pieces that I think sum up her style to a tee (pardon the pun), though really i'd find any excuse to blog about sequin shorties.

Red Dress // TV On The Radio

 via lolajagger

Another polka piece to add to my ever-growing collection of dotted prints. I'm starting to get more and more into the colour red this winter, which I think is my way of trying to steer clear of my previously beloved favourite winter colours, black and grey. This dress is most certainly one of the most girly-est pieces in my wardrobe to date but alas I am actually a big fan of it. It's ability to be dressed up as well as dressed down with such ease and it's lightweight fabric has made it one of my favourite dresses to layer with during the last couple of cold weeks.

You can find this 'lil polka dotted gem here.

Betty's A Bomb Shell // Grouplove

I'm starting to become a firm believer in the idea that an eccentric embellished colour bomb of a clutch could possibly be the key to happiness. How on earth one could ever be down in the dumps whilst in the presence of one of these is beyond me. It's not even necessarily the brighter the better as I prefer to play the favouritism game with texture and pattern more so, though sea shells and pom poms definitely do take the cake for being the crĆØme de la crĆØme of clutch detailing. Below is a 'small' selection of my favourites that I found whilst lurking the pages
of Polyvore. How amazing is that Alexander Wang seashell box clutch, it's even complete with a mini
silver starfish as the cherry on top.

Blue Jeans // Lana Del Rey

Nothing screams laid back comfort like a pair of loose fit 'boyfriend' style ripped cuffed jeans. I've had this pair of high waisted vintage denim jeans for a while now but hadn't built up the courage to slice and dice them up until last week. The second I spotted them I had this image envisioned in my mind of them being the perfect DIY project, not to mention that they have just the right amount of baggyness. I'm now contemplating whether or not I should elaborate on the slashes and add a few sneaky extra ones or if I should add anything else to them.. thoughts?

Bronte // Gotye

 via lolajagger
 via lolajagger

I could easily spend the whole day wandering around and exploring Bronte and its surroundings. I spent the first day of Winter hanging out on Bronte Beach watching the crazy waves crash about whilst eating some delicious goodies from the cafe G'day Bronte. That place has the best fresh juices and fruity frappes! I also found an amazing pink hued home in Bondi that I wish I was residing in at this very moment. It actually kind of reminds me of a prettier vintage version of a barbie-esque house. Another cute little home to fuel my obsession with houses and all things house related.
